source: network

The storage and handling requirements for petroleum drill pipes include:
1. Dry and ventilated storage: Drill rods should be stored in a dry and ventilated place, with multi-point support at the bottom to avoid long-term outdoor storage. When long-term storage is required, regular maintenance should be carried out on the end of the drill rod, such as applying rust proof grease and wearing a protective cap.
2. Handling protection: When handling drill rods, avoid impact to prevent damage to the end male buckle. Drill rods shall not be used as support platforms for heavy tail stacking, and shall not be placed randomly under crushed stones, coal piles, or scattered stacking.
