Drilling tool stabilizer is an important tool for controlling well inclination parameters in drilling engineering, suitable for stabilizing drilling tools in oil, natural gas, and geological exploration drilling processes. Its effective stabilizing effect increases the lifespan of the drill bit, improves drilling speed and wellbore quality.

    (1) It can meet the requirements of preventing wellbore deviation when drilling straight wells, and can play a role in controlling wellbore trajectory when drilling directional wells. The use of stabilizers can also improve the stability of drill bit operation, thereby extending its service life.
    (2) The three basic types of stabilizers are: rigid stabilizers, non rotating rubber sleeve stabilizers, and roller stabilizers.

① Rigid stabilizer: including spiral and straight edge, both can be made into long or short types to meet various geological and technological requirements. It is the most widely used stabilizer.
② Non rotating rubber sleeve stabilizer: It can be used in the well without rotating with the drill string, with the advantage of not damaging the wellbore wall and ensuring safe use. However, it does not have the ability to rest the wellbore wall, and due to the limitation of downhole temperature, its service life is low, so its application range is very small.
③ Roller stabilizer: Its advantage is that it has a strong ability to rest the wellbore wall, maintain wellbore regularity, and make the curvature of the wellbore change smoothly and smoothly. It is conducive to tripping, completing electrical logging and casing operations, and preventing complex underground situations and accidents. It is mainly used for In abrasive formations.

    Usage and Maintenance:

It is recommended to use a set of 3~5 integral spiral stabilizers. Distributed in three parts: upper, middle, and lower, the bottom one is a bottomhole type, and both ends of the joint buckle are female buckles, directly connected to the drill bit to ensure stable effect. The top one is a drill string type, installed at the first bending point of the drill collar, and straightens the drill collar at the center of the wellbore. Install 1~3 drill string types in the middle section depending on the site conditions. After use, the stabilizer should be rinsed clean, carefully inspected, and if necessary, tested for radial wear. Once cracks, other damages, or excessive radial wear are found, the stabilizer should not be used again. The stabilizer that has passed the inspection shall be treated with rust prevention, and protective wires shall be worn at both ends for proper storage for future use.
