The maintenance methods for daily operation and connection maintenance of oil drill pipe ends are as follows:
The protective grease on the end thread of the new drill rod needs to be wiped clean, the inner wall should be cleaned with air or water, and then thread oil should be applied to prevent thread damage or sticking.
Apply thread oil to the end thread of the drill pipe every time it is connected, and ensure that it is tightened. Untightening can cause loose threads, resulting in mutual grinding and causing thread damage or sticking.
When connecting the drill rod, ensure that the male and female buckles are aligned to avoid forced tightening. Maintain the coaxiality between the main shaft of the drilling rig power head and the connecting drill rod to prevent wear caused by uneven force on the end due to deviation.
The starting rod should be connected between the impactor and the first drill rod to prevent premature damage to the end of the first drill rod.
When it is difficult to remove the buckle, a small hammer can be used to gently vibrate the threaded part of the joint. It is strictly prohibited to use a large hammer to strike vigorously to avoid deformation and damage to the thread.
