1. High nitrogen austenitic stainless steel with ultra-low magnetic permeability (to avoid interference with logging data), excellent mechanical properties, and corrosion resistance should be selected. However, it should be noted that the coarse-grained areas (such as the core of forgings) have low hardness and poor wear resistance, and the grain size needs to be controlled through forging processes or refined through heat treatment to improve overall wear resistance.
2. Develop special wear-resistant welding wire
Traditional ferromagnetic wear-resistant strip materials can affect wellbore trajectory measurement, and non-magnetic wear-resistant flux cored welding wire needs to be developed.
