1. Low drilling efficiency

2. High security risks

Reason: Non magnetic drill collars do not have electromagnetic adsorption function, so during the drilling process of metal materials, drilling debris is easily splashed out.
Consequence: Splashing drill cuttings may harm operators and increase safety risks.
Drill collars are prone to falling:
Reason: Vibration during drilling may cause the non-magnetic drill collar to loosen or even fall off.
Consequence: Falling drill collars may not only damage equipment, but also cause safety accidents.
3. Limited applicability
Material limitations: Although non-magnetic drill collars can be well applied to drilling metal materials, they are powerless for drilling hard materials such as concrete, which limits their application scope.
4. Complex and easily damaged structure
Structural complexity: The structure of non-magnetic drill collars is relatively complex, which increases the difficulty of their manufacturing and maintenance.

        Although drill collars play an important role in petroleum operations, they also have disadvantages such as low drilling efficiency, high safety risks, limited applicability, complex and easily damaged structures, and high costs. Therefore, when using drill collars, it is necessary to fully consider their advantages and disadvantages, and take corresponding measures to reduce risks and improve efficiency.
