      1. Core Comparison of Durability Among Different Types of Joints
Double-Shoulder High-Torque Joint: Featuring a front-and-back double-shoulder design, the sealing surface is often treated with copper plating and hardening. This joint offers over 30% higher torsional strength compared to conventional single-shoulder API joints, with a bending fatigue life exceeding 100,000 cycles. It effectively distributes downhole alternating loads, reduces thread wear and stress concentration, and demonstrates exceptional durability in high-displacement and ultra-deep wells.
API NC digital-type connection: Taper 1:6, high thread accuracy, wall thickness 1.5-2 times that of the pipe body, joint hardness controlled at 28-32 HRC. It exhibits stable durability in conventional vertical and shallow horizontal well conditions, making it the most widely used universal durable connection currently available.
Sulfur-resistant CC joint: With a material hardness controlled below HRC22, it resists hydrogen embrittlement cracks induced by H₂S.       II. Supporting Measures to Further Enhance Durability
A tungsten carbide wear-resistant strip is deposited on the joint surface, achieving a hardness of HRC 50-60. Its wear resistance is 5-8 times that of conventional coatings, extending the overall service life of the joint by 3-5 times.
Strictly control the torque deviation during fastening to ≤±5% to prevent fatigue micro-cracks at the thread root, thereby increasing the reuse count of the joint by over 30%.
After each trip, promptly remove the drilling fluid residue from the joint surface to prevent corrosive media from long-term erosion of the threads and reduce premature wear and failure.

       The optimal durable joints vary across different scenarios: API NC threaded joints are selected for conventional straight wells, double-shouldered high-torque joints for high-displacement ultra-deep wells, and sulfur-resistant CC joints for sulfur-bearing formations to maximize joint durability.
