       The tower-type drill string consists of a series of drill collars with diameters gradually decreasing from bottom to top, forming a tower-like configuration above the drill bit. There should be no fewer than 12 drill collars. The key feature of this anti-deviation drill string is its heavy and rigid lower section, resulting in a low center of gravity for the entire drill collar string. This design ensures good stability and generates significant pendulum deviation reduction force.
       Additionally, the tower-type drill string has the advantages of simple structure, ease of use, and no need for stabilizer position calculations, as well as avoiding issues such as wear and repair of stabilizers and heavy drill pipes. However, it also has drawbacks like small bottom clearance, susceptibility to stuck pipe, multiple drill pipe sizes, and operational inconvenience. The effectiveness of the tower-type drill string in preventing deviation depends on its tower-type configuration. The configuration should have a low center of gravity, large-diameter bottom drill pipe, substantial total drill pipe weight, and minimal size differences between each tier of drill pipe.
