The Influence of Drill Rod Length and Stability

The length of the drill pipe has a significant impact on the stability of drilling operations.
An increase in drill rod length will reduce its bending stiffness. Long drill rods are prone to drilling speed fluctuations in hard rock formations due to inertia. By reasonably grading and reducing the gap between the drill rod and the hole wall, the bending of the drill string is restricted, the stability of the drilling tool in the hole is enhanced, and vibration is reduced.
Increasing the number of stabilizers in the drilling tool assembly can effectively reduce the inclination of the pilot hole drilling. Dynamically adjust drilling pressure and rotation speed based on the hardness of the formation.
