Strengthening the stability during drilling with drilling rods can ensure the smooth progress of drilling operations. So how can we maintain this stability?
Firstly, to increase the weight of the drill pipe, high-strength alloy steel pipes should be selected for production. This material has high rigidity and strength, and can withstand the enormous pressure and friction during the drilling process, thereby maintaining the stability of the drill pipe. In addition, tungsten alloy is often used to make weighted drill rods due to its high density and strength characteristics, further enhancing the stability and durability of the drill rods.
Secondly, the structural design of the weighted drilling rod should be optimized. Through reasonable weighted design, the drilling rod can better resist bending and vibration during the drilling process and maintain stability.
The third weighted drill rod should adopt advanced manufacturing processes such as surface quenching treatment and surface coating to protect the drill rod from corrosion and wear, prolong the service life and stability of the drill rod.
The fourth step is to regularly inspect and maintain the drill pipe, including checking the surface condition of the drill pipe, measuring the straightness of the drill pipe, and checking the connection threads of the drill pipe, to ensure the stability of the drill pipe and extend its service life.
